A player in Traditional Rummy can also win by gradually getting rid of the cards in his/her hand. this is refered to as "Going Out".
In Traditional Rummy there are no restrictions regarding when one is allowed to lay down melds or add matching cards to existing melds. Therefore it is allowed to lay down melds or add matching cards to existing ones at any time.
